The grace of a traditional Tuscan red.
This is Panizzi's first red wine, born in 1989. The counterpart wine to vintage Chianti Colli Senesi; in the Riserva version, matured in small French oak barrels, it acquires depth and depth, thanks also to a small percentage of international grape varieties that give a pleasant balsamicity in the mouthfeel.
The spiciness lends elegance to the blend and enhances the fruity nuances of the sangiovese, of tart cherry and fresh plum. A wine of character that retains the tasty drinkability of Chianti sangiovese.
The name Vertunno is inspired by the Etruscan deity Voltumna, the goddess with the cornucopia, who together with the god Veltha represent the divine dyad of the Etruscan pantheon.
To the Voltumna-Veltha dyad is dedicated the entire production of Chianti Colli Senesi in its two declinations: the Riserva and the Annata
